'Bout Time. Got to keep those illegal planets out of the system. But seriously, if I was in the IAU, I'd have voted it out. Not only does Pluto's size call it into question, but its orbit is highly eccentric and tilted with respect to the orbits of the other eight planets. It just doesn't appear to have formed in a manner similar to them, and thus should not be called a planet.

i've been repeating this all day, so i might as well say it again:when i was in 3rd grade, my teacher taught us a pneumonic to remember the order of the planets, moving outward from the sun: My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies. I hereby propose that given todays scientific shift at how we view the heavenly bodies, this pneumonic be updated to “My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Ninjas”.

Pluto is like that kid that always got picked last in gym class... no one wanted that scrub on their team. (I think I was Pluto?!?)
