New Vibe owner here

Post by shadow_dog »

New Vibe owner here. Brand new 06. Really like it, wish I had discovered the Vibe earlier. Must admit I wish there was one thing Pontiac had put on the Vibe--an emergency brake warning. Yes, let the flaming begin--I drove my new Vibe about 3 miles on the 4th day I owned it with the brake on. Going into work very early on a call in, happened to look down and see the light on. VERY quickly released it. Felt like a total idiot. Both my other vehicles have a warning beeper when the brake is on. Now my wife says I am paranoid about the brake being off, because I check it about 2 times everytime I drive it.. Everything is in order though, well minus some brake pad.1500 miles in 3 weeks and loving the Vibe.

Welcome and Congrats!!! Don't feel too bad...obviously a lot of us have done it. Here's my confession-both Vibes- but not for very long though. I'm always checking the I.P.

Welcome To our Vibedom!!I think most of us have at least once driven with the E-Brake still engauged. I know i have usually backing out of a parking space as i realize what i was doing. It dose have an idiot light but it may need to be brighter or biger or both.

Welcome to GenVibe! I was going to say I have a "BRAKE" light that comes on in the instrument cluster when mine is engaged.
