Yep, finally got sometime to work on my car. Looked at my window tracks and as soon as I got the door panel off it quit making the dumb cracking sound, figures! Found out 1 of my rear suspension nuts was cross-threaded back when I got my air-bags, so now I need to go get a new one. Let's see, installed my blue rear bumper, but prob won't be getting that painted anytime soon! Ordered an auto shift knob from Ebay since someone on MO did it and it worked. That was a royal PITA, but I got'r dun! Uh, still got to get my window sprayers and hood supports done, need to install my tranny-cooler still, need to get my antenna fixed, need to get a new gas door, need to put some anti-squeel on my brakes, need to install my neons, and need to clay-bar and wax my car! Anyone down for a "Fix the FrankenVibe Day"?Oh, PICS TO COME!!!

I think I am in the same boat as you ALL THE TIME. As far as allways having problems and stuff. I have a stupid colored rear bumper still needing to be replaced.Hey neat shifter! I saw a 300zx with a computer joystick as a shifter once.
Are you planning on getting the rest of the kit? or just keeping the rear bumper? I'm interested to see how that will look. Good luck on getting the rest of that stuff done. We need to protest to have more hours in each day! Who's with me?!?!

Looks awesome, feels kind of weird right now, and the O/D button has to be pressed twice now instead of once for some reason.Quote, originally posted by ANO_Vibe »Are you planning on getting the rest of the kit? or just keeping the rear bumper? I already have the roof caps on, the front and rear bumpers are now on, and the side skirts and fenders are already painted but need to be fitted. For some reason, they just didn't slap on like everyone else's!

+1 cant wait to see it complete!. ive seen that shifter before...oh yea on cardomains catolog.the shifter looks great and where is the O/D button located???
Glad to see you got the shifter installed. It takes a while to get used to how skinny it is. I don't drive mine that often and it still feels weird. Well as far as I know it just 1 Matrix and 1 Vibe with this shifter.

It was def a learning experience! The O/D button is on top towards the front. It is a very small button which now requires 2 pushes instead of 1 for some reason. The shifter is small and oddly shaped from the stock, but I think it looks great so I guess that's all that matters! lolAnd as for you Mr.Quote, originally posted by ArcsVibe »The shifter looks really good! Now save your money you have to buy some phones off me lol I'm stil waiting for quotes buddy!

Was it really difficult? It wasn't too bad considering I had never taken apart that area. You have to remove the small drawer in the front of the dash, removethe trim around the shifter and the A/C controls, then you have to remove the whole gray piece there to get underneath the shifter to get to the O/D wires. Then it's just 2 screws in the actual shifter, cut the wires for the O/D, splice in the new wires, cut the shaft adapter plastic piece to the appropriate length (don't cut it too short like I accidentally did, made things a little diffficult! ), then just slap it all together. I was having some problems with the release not working properly so I used an extension piece that was included for a different type of vehicle and made it work for mine. Not sure what I was doing wrong or if that was necessary, but it works, so that's all that matters to me! lol
