vibers -what is the little round button on the right of the auto shift lever

HEY VIBERS.....as a 3 day vibe owner what the heck is - little round button on the right of the auto shift lever that does NOTHING??? i was thinking of making a cover for it that said "EJECTION SEAT" might keep my passengers quiet !Avid -Vibe person.........whoooosh...i like it

That is where the overdrive button is or should I say used to be.

That's the shift lock release button cover. If you need to shift the car out of park, you can depress the button underneath the cover and it will allow you to shift the stick.Here's an old thread about it:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=369Gotta read up on that owners manual!!!

Welcome and Congrats! I don't have one either! Frosty has it, though. I figured they changed it since it was made so close to 2007 that maybe they eliminated it? I will have to ask the dealer for one. I think it looks strange without it.

wow I didn't know they got rid of the overdrive button on the later years...that sucks lol.
