I have the base model Vibe with the moonroof, but not the tunes. My question involves the exterior plastic body panels that are on my '03. Is there any way to dye them another color? Mine are currently a liteish grey and I would like to see about getting them down to a black if possible. Anyone have any ideas as to what to use to dye them or a company to get supplys from. Thanks,Travis
OK My ? is are you talking about the lower 2 tone part, If it is then your answer is yes you can paint the plastic part's. Your local body shop supply store can go over the prosses with you but If you have any ? feel free to ask me and I can go over every thing you need to know...... nuvibe
No, I don't want to paint them. I want to dye them black or dark grey rather than the light grey that they are. I don't want to paint because that requires too much prep and labor as well as supplys. I figured a dye would be alot easier, just a rag or some kind of aplicator, wipe on, wipe off. Done.Btw, ignore the Escort, that is my baby that I still own and have b4 I got the Vibe.
Try SEM products they make dye's for plastic ,vinyl's,leather and carpet, that mite help you out. But no mater what you do you still have to prep it.... nuvibe
