Departing Vibe AWD

Post by Mike-NC »

It's been a super ride, but all good things must come to an end. Bought my fantasy car yesterday-Jaguar X-type, so the Vibe will be leaving in a few months. (Ahead on payments, so I'll just keep and drive and let the Jag sit in the garage. I don't expect 60K of trouble-free mileage from the Jag like I got from the Vibe. I know it is a gamble buying a brand not known for its reliablity. As always, I mention this site to any current or prospective Vibe owner. It is and will contiune to be the greatest source of Vibe info. anywhere! Thanks for all the posts and I'll check in from time to time until the Vibe is actually gone. (Wish I could afford to keep it, but I can't.)

Hey, you're driving a Ford now... it's got to be somewhat more reliable than the old Jags of yester-year.Post a photo of the vehicle you deemed worthy of replacing your vibe. We'd love to see.On a side note - anyone who'd like to see an XType Jag, here's a link to a popular wallpaper site with good photos: http://www.dieselstation.com/a...shtml

Don't tell everyone its a Ford. (I know that it is more Ford than Jag!) Everyone thinks it costs a fortune, but it was less than a Camry/Accord, V-6. leather, sunroof. The bonus is AWD on the Jag, plus it looks fabulous. My wife actually likes it and its not even red.My youngest daughter saw the car when I was test driving when I brought it home and parked in the garage. We later came out to go to church and I had the Vibe back in the garage. She remarked "Daddy, where is the pretty car?"

Sorry, no pics now. Our camera is on the fritz--can't make it work for even one! The Jag is grayish/blue with charcol leather. It has a quite good Alpine 10 speaker factory sound system. (My most desired option!)Bought is used-'05 w/ 12K miles.

My wife's fantasy car is also the X-type Jag. One thing that has always impressed me is the paint colors and finish...even when Ford got 'em.Congratulations on your new vehicle...and post pics when you can!

Congrats and have fun in the Shaguar! Yeah baby! One may be my wifes next car (a used one) once the Vibe is paid off for a couple years.
