I find people's life stories fascinating (as strange as that is). But I always find it interesting to find out where people grew up and how they ended up where they are now.For me....I was born in Joliet, Illinois. I lived there until I was 13. When my parents divorced, my mom moved us to Savannah, Tennessee (her hometown) which is basically in the middle of nowhere. After I graduated from High School when I was 17, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to go to college and have been here ever since (since 1993). Tennessee is a beautiful state, and a wonderful place to live, but I still miss Illinois--everything except all the snow......

I was brought here by aliens to study life on this planet. Very unusual indeed. I was dropped naked and pennyless in the middle of Quebec City with $35.00 in Canadian Tire money. I damn near starved to death and had to get out of there fast. Moved to Ontario. Now I make a good living as a Chippendale Dancer and I race Speed Boats in my spare time. People on this planet really love their cars. On my planet, you just think about where you wanna go, and you're there. Sometimes I end up in some very strange places. Use your imagination. Gotta go. The Men In Black are at my front door.
I was born in Riverhead Long Island NY, Moved to Cali at one and a half years old, then to Iran for 3 years. By this time I was 5 when We arrived back in the states. Then back to Florida (jacksonville again). I'm 10-11 now and we move again to Iceland, then to Italy(Sardinia) and then to England. Got back to Florida again when I was 13 and then to Morehead City NC till I graduated High School. Moved back to Jacksonville yet again and with the exception of a couple small moves I've pretty much been down here ever since.hope I didn't bore everyone with my multiple moves saga or i guess Epic would be a good word.

Compared to some of the others here, my story is rather boring, I suppose. I was born here in Pittsburgh, PA and have lived all my life within 30 miles of the city. I spent the first 9 years very close to the city, then my family moved to the suburbs. We lived there for 10 years and my mom and stepdad got married and decided to build a house out near the farm country. It wasn't the place for me and my sister so we are both currently attending Duquesne Universtiy and living here in downtown Pittsburgh about 5 minutes apart. Funny, we live so close and go to the same school, but only see each other about twice a month. My mom wants to move back to the suburbs here possibly as early as this summer. We all hardly get to see each other anymore and there is really nothing out in the farm country for us.

I was born and raised in small town Ontario having lived most of my youth in Southwestern Ontario near London. I have lived all of my lifein towns of 30,000 or less except for my university years. Although I enjoy the amenities of the big city it doesn't take long there to make me rush back to my little Northern Ontario town. I think our society has lost a great deal with the shift from rural agricultural to big city industrial/commercial though of course we need both. I am particularly alarmed at the demise of so much of our prime farm land as it is gorged on by infinite commercial, housing and industrial development. Meanwhile marginal land that could be so used is spurned. Something is seriouly wrong here..

I'll admit i do miss the mother country from time to time. Although i will most likely spend my days here in the US....this country fits me so much better. Most peeps think im a little odd...including my family, in the sense that i have a very adventurous spirit. I get real itchy feet if i spend to much time in one place doing the daily life things...my most common escape is my mountain bike. I pack up, my bike and I, sometimes a friend or two, and kick it out of town and ride everything i can....got my MOAB, Utah plans set for next spring. I just have to get out. i am lucky enough to have a part-time job with REI so i get to work with a store full of weirdos just like me. The US just has more room for me to play.BUT....If you do ever go to England, then you must visit the Southwest...the DEVON area imparticular....this is where my grandmother lives and it is the part of england i love the most...gorgeous! OH and another plus...pretty much every car in england romps....any random rental car (is a stick shift of course) and has real tight suspension...the roads demand it....if you visit DEVON, you'll understand...oh and a lot of them in devon are too small for two cars to pass...so be sure u dont care too much about the car....b/c you have to literally drive it into the hedge a few times....and if its a truck...yep ur gonna have back up a ways till u get a wider piece. im just talkin away....geeze....i'll stop-Phil
