Factory radio wiring problem?

Post by 03vibeowner »

hi I actually currently have 3 vibes..... and tried 2 of the radios in one of them lol 2 of them we bought used but in the one we actually bought from the dealership. I believe its the wiring...... on both radios you can get the acurate time but it will not come on.... so I think that it is still getting some power to keep the time BUT you have to push the like rce or something button and it will tell the time but you push the main button (that is used for volume) and nothing happens..... has this happened to ANYONE else? I am fearful that something has happened to the factory wiring NOTHING modified has messed up and that the dealership will do NOTHING for us.... if anyone has any ideas please contact me :D thanks alot

Try checking the fuse block.

look under the driver's side steering columm. there is a black rectangular plastic box. that is the fuse block. look for the one that says "cig" that is the radio fuse. check that.p.s. the black box is underneath the pull out drawer.

They're the same thing. The fusebox under the driver side of the dash has relays on the top of it, which can be viewed by looking behind the pull-out drawer. To get to the fuses, though, you have to go from underneath.
