Just got this baby today for the meager price of 212$, thanks to TWM's student discount. This shortshifter is MUCHO better than the TRD one, Which I just so happen to have for sale (make an offer if you would like it, has everything). Nice solid short shifts.PERIOD. Bolted it Straight to the steel of the car, No spacers. I had the brass spacers, But dont need them anymore, either. (make an offer if you would like em)BEFORE:ugly shifter with a short boot....THE NEW PIECENo need for the spacers.... AFTER:VERY short shifter in need of a new boot....I give this part a 9.4 out of 10, because i didnt fully engage 5th gear on the highway, and i thought i broke another tranny....scared me Exellent product.
Yea, i did. It took almost exactly an hour for me to get it installed, but i've been itching to install something new on my car for the past few months. Next, im gonna order some hotchkis sways.....that will be a fun install........
yea, the instructions were decent, the pictures are a little dark, but very straight forward and easy. I just was not sure if I needed to put my brass spacers back in place , so i didnt
Darm that is short! I bet it feels real nice.I installed a TRD short throw with the spacers and all that cutting on a buddy's VIbe and I don't even have a manual trans nor have I ever owned one so it isn't THAT bad. Took me a little over an hour.Wow that looks real nice without all that white plastic!

So maybe the spacers go there for a reason!!! Well mines on the way... is disassembling the shifter trim hard or what needs to be removed to install the TWM.Thanks.

Hey Mike,The hardest part is the ball cup - you'll know what I mean. Even then, it's simple. This was one of the easiest installs, just take your time and make sure to grease properly.
Hey... whats up.Thanks for the info.Ill figure it out... just wanna clarify anything i might end up doing wrong.

I just installed my TWM short shift, new leather boot, and TWM .44 Magnum shift knob.Overall, the process was pretty easy, although I did run into a problem with those springs on the shift cables.I would definitely recommend the short throw shifter, though. The ride is great!
I wanted that one.... i got the type r one insted. it was too much money for my blood!!!

I figured I would join in and show off my new short shift and boot.I like the look, but the feel of the shorter and smoother shifts is my favourite part.

I just finished installing an RPS turboclutch/organic disc + MWR flyweel and AMSoil MTG lube...wow, what a difference! The lube alone made the shifts even smoother than the AMSoil severe gear lube I had in there. Highly recommended And Mike - your Vibe's lookin' SWEET! Lot's of awesome work there, and in a short time too
thanks... to bad everythings on hold for a while... cuz the rims.I was working on a 3-pod pillar but cant do it yet. i have the pod pillar just gotta get a spare a-pillar to work with. but cant spend money.Glad to hear you got all your work done. Quote, originally posted by Mario »Did you install the clutch yourself? I hear it's pretty involved... any problems? No sir, I had it installed at a very well-respected tranny shop in Culver City, CA. They had no problems, except that the pedal is SOFTER than stock. That took (still taking) a little getting used to, but the clamping power is noticably stronger. Very good clutch.
