vibe audio question

Post by meathead333 »

ok, once again i am car audio illiterate, so forgive me. i searched other threads but wasnt really sure if they applied to me. i am not a huge bass fan, but i want more bass than what my moon and tunes offers. i was looking at a bazooka tube. anyone know if this would make a big difference?? also, if i decided later on to get a aftermarket deck, would that bazooka tube still work?? or would i just be better off getting new speakers with no sub? i am sure someone out there knows...thanks.

To get little more bass, I can suggest you to add a 8" sub. It won't give you a lot of bass but will increase it and make a good diffrence. Plus, a 8" will take very few space. If you want to get an aftermarket head unit, for sure the bazooka will work as well.

A 8" bazooka will give all the bass you want, it won't rattle your fillings loose, but it will definately improve the sound. Also, it's a nice and tidy shape so it won't take up your whole cargo area, and if you do need every last inch of space for hauling, it can be easily removed. I'm a little biased, I've used Bazooka tubes for years with great results. I'm using a EL8 in the Vibe, and I just put the old 8" tube from my Z24 into the wife's car. Huge improvement!Other alternatives would be Infinity BassLink system, or a small box with an 8" sub. All woud do just fine.

thanks for the info. i went to circuit city(best buy didnt sell them), i asked the salesman/techie what he thought. he said it would work, but hes seen the bazooka tubes get fried in time because the factory system doesnt always match up with the bazooka amp, or something like that. but he also said that he hasnt delt with the vibe yet, so who knows. i think they had it for a good price though, it was on sale for 99.99(8"). have you had that problem with your bazooka??
