Painted my steelies today... tired of the flat black turning grey'er and grey'er...So while doing a rotation I washed them with wheel cleaner, dried them, and shot them with 3 coats of a black epoxy enamel.I made a nice template by tracing the hubcap - then used 2" wide masking tape to create a vertical mask to prevent paint from hitting the tire. For those of us who are too broke to afford aftermarket rims they really want... at least this makes the most of what I got.Yet again... I don't have pics - sorry, it's dark and my car has 450 miles worth of dirt on it (one week worth of comuting).Give me a few days and I'll update this post with fresh snaps.

I'm processing photos now and will only be up until I get better shots.. :DClick for insanely huge photos... My car is filthy... a cloud burst + construction sites all around my work parking lot + 90 mile commute = dirty vibe.

Ahhhh...I thought you were leaving the hubcaps off, in which case you wouldn't want to reuse the litle plastic caps......hence my ? re: lugnuts.... because those "gold" colored lugs are kinda ugly.....I like the looks of what you did though! Has my mind thinking about my winter steelies....

Has my mind thinking about my winter steelies....Oh yeah - now I got ya. Yeah - those OEM lugs are nasty... but the coating keeps them from rusting up... so I like it alot! If I were to go hub less - I would go with chrome nuts. (try reading that with a straight face...)
