Riddle me this fair people...I have a 2005 Vibe w/ the posh leather seats. THe other day, I had a tasty snowball, dark cherry w/ condensed milk, and I spilled it down the side of my driver's seat. As I feverishly was cleaning up the sticky and melting goo, I noticed that the seat, next tot he lever, is cracking in two different places. So, is this a warranty issue? Or is the seat a "wear and tear" item, much like tires and brakes... and clutch... and wipers... and lights...Thanks for your help, hjwii
Definitely have the dealer check it out... If under warranty I would think it still falls under unless it was cut or something damaged it. In your case it was not either of those...
take it in and have the dealer look at it. if it's cracking or the stitching is coming out, that's usually covered under warranty. it's only an 05. i had custom leather in my 03 and trust me, it was well worn and used, no cracking or stitching coming undone.

Well worn and used? You and Mav need to stay out of the front seats...
dont forget to use leather care products (cleaning and conditioning) so your leather seats dont crack. leather needs to be cared for a lot more than i though when i was reading some other posts on here.
