Hi folks. New to the site. My son has a '05 Vibe with the Moon & Tune package. The 2 speakers in the rear passenger doors make no sound at all. Checked the fade setting. On rear, all you get is the one speaker in the rear storage area. I think thats the sub-woofer?tech at the dealership said the speakers were blown. Replaced both.still no sound. I have to bring it back again next week. Has anyone else run into this problem? I get the feeling that the tech needs alittle direction to fix thisThanks
Since setting the fader to rear still gives sound out of the subwoofer, that probably means that the radio is putting out sound on the rear signal lines. If there's still no sound out of the rear after replacing the speakers, then maybe the amp under the front passenger seat is bad.
That really sounds like the amp's rear channels have gone bye-bye, I actually have an amp here that has a couple channels dead just like you are describing... I don't know if it is doable, but maybe try pulling the door panels and connecting a multimeter set to read voltage across the speaker leads to see if you get any response. That's what I ended up doing when my amp went crazy and I wasn't sure if it was the amp or the speakers that were blown... If you get no voltage, your amp may be suspect. If you do see voltage fluctuating, you know the amp is working and the speakers aren't.

Thanks. I checked the wires in case something came loose. Everything appears OK When my son calls for the next appointment, he will give the info you guys have given us to the dealership/tech Thanks again.
