The good news is that if the Vibe is discontinued there will be ample replacements for those who like the "mini-SUV" concept coupled with relatively low gasoline consumption.

I was at a Hyundai slash Nissan dealer today getting a key made for my car and saw these things sitting out there... Yick! That back end is just kinda goofy. Certainly has cues from the Quest...

Tangerine is right that a lot hatchbacks look quite similar, but however there are derinately differences that I can spot out in each one. To me, the Versa looks almost identical to the Civic Si hatchback.
Hey but which one came out first??? THE VIBE THATS RIGHT (was it the first???) any way the vibe is awesome and it looks way more meaner too YEAH!!! I love my VIBE!!
Now that I think about it, the Versa looks a bit more like the XA than it does the Vizzle, to me at least... Especially from the back.Nonetheless, if I were to buy a small car, I would have to pass this one up. Oh wait, I already did that!

As I was getting my oil changed today, I saw a Versa inside the showroom so I went over to check it out... Interesting car, although from up close I'm even more turned off by all the various angles on the outside. Sat down in it, and I felt cramped (I'm 5'8".) I think it probably has a good amount of room in it, but the interior was nothing but pitch black everywhere except the headliner which made everything feel like it was closing in on me... The dash seemed insanely huge as well, intruding well into the cabin. I didn't particularly care for the seating position, I couldn't quite get comfortable and had problems seeing over the dash. And the fabric was this black velour stuff, all that cheesy, velvety goodness in a car like this really looked and felt odd and out of place. But it certainly has a lot to offer for the money... Less than $14K for one with the power package and manual transmission. Some great safety gear standard too.

Freestyle's fiance just got one Wednesday. I was like....(removed) is that! It is an awsome little car though! Rides real nice and it doesn't shift because it has a snowmobile-type tranny with the belts.
It does have an interesting powertrain... It certainly has everything else in its class beat as far as the numbers are concerned. 122 HP@6000 and 127 lb/ft@2400. That torque peaks LOW! It'll do great from a stop I bet. I forgot all about them having a CVT... Looks like you can also get a conventional 4-speed as well, I *think* one I looked at on the lot had one. And yay, on behalf of lazy bums everywhere, the automatics get better mileage out on the open road than the shift-it-yourselfers! Now they have the penalty. My car is the same way, gotta love it. 30/34: 6-speed30/36: CVT28/35: 4-speed auto

According to Autos.msn.com it has 127lb/ft@4800 RPM But keep in mind this is a Nissan. So it's getting 122hp and 127lb to the pavement. As apose to everyone else's ratings at the fly wheel.

Kelly Blue Blook lied man, that was my source! And it's still wrong. Quote »But keep in mind this is a Nissan. So it's getting 122hp and 127lb to the pavement. As apose to everyone else's ratings at the fly wheel. No kidding? That's interesting... So, this "122 HP" car is really more than that, once you factor in drivetrain loss eh? How much is generally lost in the transfer of power as it makes its way to the pavement anyway? Does this thing put out more HP at the flywheel than a base Vibe? And this is a car technically competes with the current crop of small, inexpensive cars like the 110 HP Accent/Rio, 109 HP Fit, 106 HP Yaris, maybe even throw the 103 HP xA in the mix as well? Damn. That's almost a bit misleading to me, without consistency within measurements it makes it difficult for people to compare the numbers...
