Yay I finally made it!!!

Post by chemrebel »

hooray now i can post! stupid spam filter...anyhoo, i just purchased an 05 vibe base 4/29/06 and have just absolutely loved driving it. i've found this forum already pretty darn helpful and friendly to boot, which apparently is a scarce commodity on forum communities anymore. so, what drove me to get it? well, for starters, IT WAS RED i was looking for a compact suv/xuv/wagon/something like that but with good gas mileage, and my '95 ciera with 147k miles (yep you read that right) was not worth putting the money in to fix anymore. my very first car i ever owned was an '89 grand am and i loved it, so i gravitated back to the brand. i read up on the vibe and decided that's what i wanted, looked around at a few from '03-'05 and it struck me that in my area anyway there wasn't all that much of a pricing difference between the model years, so i said heck let's go for the newer one. my vibe was previously a rental so it had about 30k miles when i got it but everything else was cool. it also doesn't have that annoying front plate spot woohoo. just took my hubby and 1-yr-old on a road trip with it and it did wonderfully.

chemrebel, Welcome. I'm also from Fort Wayne and also just bought a Lava Vibe (last weekend). There is also a member of the forum from Huntington. Lots of Vibes in the area.

Welcome!! Nice Vibe!!!! My first car was a Grand Am too ('88). I loved it so much and it was so reliable, I've been faithful to Pontiac ever since.
