Removing factory crossbars?

Post by JohnG2095 »

Does anyone know how to remove the factory crossbars on the roofrack?I just put my yakima bars up there for my boats and the factory cross bars are kind of in the way and unneccesary so I'd like to take them off, but I couldn't figure out how. Also, one of my front caps for the mounts on the front of the rails for the roofrack is missing, anyone know where to get one? Thanks

I don't know about the crossbars (I have a 2005 that came without) but I do have experience losing a cap. I lost a rear one about 3 days after I bought the car (I guess it wasn't on too secure). I found one on gmpartsdirect.comI don't know if that is the cheapest way but they had it and shipped promptly.Mike
