New Here...

Post by NoIAmTheCheese »

Yeah, so I found this site about a year ago and signed up...and then just never came back...But I'm here now...I have a 2004 Vibe, Automatic, Neptune 2-Tone, Moon & Tunes package, Stock Rims, and a Custom Aluminum Spike Antenna (Which I am currently trying to sell lots of...)(See Post: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=23725)I don't quite know what else goes in this thing...I included a whole bunch of pictures below...And I have a couple things in mind which I want to do to my Vibe...Have (none of this is installed): 2 Sony 760W Amps, 2 Pyramid 1 Farad Capacitors, 2 Sony 12" Xplod 1200W Peak Subs (in Box)...Get & Install New Head Unit (So I can plug in my iPod)I know people always blast Sony Stuff, but I've never had a problem...Want to do the Air conditioning Mods... Insulating the line, and fixing the knob level dealie...Looking at those Fog Light Covers...Fix my exhaust (retaining wall incident), maybe replace with a nice cat-back something...Remove Roof-Rack BeamsNew HornStrut Bars (is that right?)K&N Intake perhaps...

For whatever reason, everyone I have talked to says that the Amps blow up...Again, don't know why...I fried 2 12" Alpine E-Type's with them and they just kept on trucking...(To be fair, I had the speakers running ridiculously low end music for about 7 hours in full sun and 92 Degree Weather...They Literally Cooked...I used to have a 1988 Plymouth Reliant Hatchback which is what they come form...)

well, i wouldn't recommend planet audio's amps. i had a 5 channel in my VGT for about 6 mos and it blew. now i'm using the same rockford fosgate amp that i had in my VGT for 1.5 yrs and going on another 1 yr in my LGT.

I would love to sell my Sony Stuff, and get 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch Subs...After having the ABSOLUTE DEATH of the Sony's, I'm just looking for something simple now...I've gone throught quite a few brands when it comes to the Subs, but I've only ever had the Sony Amps...

Oh forgot...I believe your rear washer squirter is the single stream type. Pontiac upgraded to a two stream squirter in 2005+. You may want to do this mod too! I did and great improvement.Search the site for the thread and or I can give you the squirter part number and removal tips!
