MK Vibe

Post by mkviber »

So we picked up the MK Vibe a few days ago. I like it even more than I thought I would. It's a 2006 Lava Red base model with the Preferred Package, the Brake Package, and Automatic transmission. I was looking at Pontiac.com and it seems it also has the Premium Monotone Appearance Package since there are no black body parts on it, but I don't recall seeing that on the car's window sticker.I'd posted in another thread that my wife earned this from Mary Kay, in case some of you reading this didn't read my first post.So yeah, this car is really nice. The ride is stiff, but I'd rather have that than a soft ride with less control. Our other car is a Honda that was nearly twice the price (not quite, but almost), but this thing has a few features that even our Honda doesn't have.. TPMS, Auto Door Locks, Auto Headlights, Fog Lights, RDS for Audio, and excellent cup holders I like the look of the Vibe over the Matrix as well, not exactly sure why, but I do. Only one complaint so far.. the drivers side mirror when looking at it to see behind.. everything looks stretched wider than it should be.. a bit annoying, kind of makes me sick to my stomach if I look too long, its weird. I'm going to a dealer today to compare it against a different Vibe.

Congrats! You DO get a lot with this car! You will be very happy! No trying to start a "this is better than this car war" but I too have observed major differences in certain vehicles. For example my in-laws Nissan Xterra has a cheap interior feel, one crappy dome lamp thus the interior is dark at night, old dated 4x4 engagement system, no fog lamps as standrad equipment and gets poor fuel mileage in 2WD. And it cost more then a Vibe! I know Vibe vs. SUV, what? but still based on price, you would think the Nissan would have all the latest and greatest creature comforts for an SUV.
