Heya...A lot have. I went with Gold. Looks nice on the Abyss. ALso painted my emblems Gold, with black reflective overlays on the arrowhead. Would take pictures but the pics I've previously taken came out horrible. Dave
Yep, a couple weekends ago I picked up the Duplicolor Brake Caliper Paint kit. It has the cleaner, paint, brush, and stir stick. Worked nicely, but I also applied about 3 coats of paint to them. I also painted the drums on the back, everything red with the paint provided in the kit.
painted the VGT with the G2 caliper paint kit. it's kinda spendy but it's top of the line. looked fantastic even after a nasty AK winter here!then i painted my LGT with high heat engine enamel, 6-8 coats and also clear coat. it looked like CRAP after only one mild winter here. so i had to do it again!VGT:LGT old paint:new paint:
I used Dupli-Color ceramic Engine Enamel several years ago and it has held up very well. It is cheap and easy (like me ). The color I used is Cast Coat Iron DE1651, it blends with the background, even on the rear drum hubs.

I just finished mine about an hour ago. I used 2 coats of black BBQ paint (it's thinner and gets into every little crack and crevice), followed by a generous coat of VHT black caliper spray paint. Even though my '06 is only 10 months old, I had to sand quite a bit of rust off first, especially the rear drums. They must be made of recycled fishing trawlers to rust so bad so fast.
