New stereo system

Post by Merzbow »

I bouht the setup Kevin had in his Vibe. Him and Amanda built the box themselves from fiberglass and wood, it weighs like 200lbs with the subs in it. I will be getting ti repainted black within the next week or so, and currently I am working on building some kind of platforms to flow the box in with the rest of the hatch. The amp i was using for my two Kicker competition 10s is only powerful enough to run one of the new PowerAcoustik 12s so I still need another amp for the second sub or just one huge one for both, and also need some 6x9s and an amp for them! I have some work cut out for me so I will update when it gets done. Here are a couple pictures.

that thing is huge! You should put some LED's somewhere around your trunk to reflect off that glossy paint. Assuming the black will be just as glossy.Good luck with the project

(removed) I was just hauling them for him but I decided to buy. He gave them to me for an unreal price so I'm going to surprise him with something for the new ride soon to say thanks It's gonna be metallic black like the car's paint. I'll be getting red LEDs and mounting them in there to light the system.

looks good but now I have a dumb question since I don't know how the box is actually built, but is it supposed to hold 4 subs or are those ports at the bottom?

The ports are on either side and you cannot see them in these pics. The two holes in the front are for the two 6x9 speakers. I didn't buy the 6x9s.
