My first post

Post by Imonaride82 »

Hey guys, this is my first post. I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT that I got in April. I traded in my saab 9-5 for it- I do miss the heated seats, but I love the Vibe! Heh. I remember always wanting a Vibe since they came out. So I got mine. I plan to find a grille, tint the windows, get some speakers, and maybe look at adding one of those turbonator deals (does anyone have one on the Vibe?) So here we are!

looks to be in perfect condition I too have a 2003 VibeGT that I got a few months ago, and unfotunately the previous owner wasn't too good to it. Mine had tons of scratches and paint chipping in many different places when I recieved it.I also wish that I had that color that you have. It looks great

Yeah thanks! My previous owner did a lot of highway driving, the front has its share of chips and stuff. There are also some small chips on the drivers side on the paint under the door. You can see it when you open it. I have to touch it up.

I sure am starting to get into it. I mean, I couldn't find a sunshade to fit the damn thing, so I went and ordered a custom one. Come on, who does that? lol. Yeah but I really want one of the Green Envy vibes.

I've never heardd of ordering a custom sunshade, but i guess it makes sense. I still like your color more than the Envy Vibes. And from what i think, that silver looks great with red. For example, red calipers...hint....hint

LoL yeah that would be sweet. Maybe I will get one of those kits. And chrome too. Chrome looks nice on black and darker grey. I want a grille.

Definately go with a grille. And chrome does look great with those colors. And with the calipers, just buy some high heat resistent paint that comes in red and then paint over the calipers. That's one of the easiest mods to do, and it always looks great.

hey welcome to genvibe. get rid of that ugly front license plate assembly, especially if you don't need it. it makes for a much cleaner look(the two lil holes from the screws won't be that noticeable, especially on your color).

yeah, i eventually wanna have 'em painted over. They are already fading, and have a few corners that have popped out a bit. (aarggg) I hate those cheap plastic things. I just think the monotone Vibes look so much better.

lol, same here. However, they aren't coming out with a GT so i won't be too jealous. It's also supposed to come with only 150 hp opposed to the 170 hp that we both have in our GT's.p.s i think we are the only ones on this site that are 17 or younger. lol

Oh, hmm, maybe so. I was into the Vibe when it first came out, got into my grand prix and saab, then guess I forgot about the vibe until I got one. Maybe that is the case.

i forgot to mention, if you are on bumpy roads, the top left corner of the plate will tap against the glass, which can get annoying. nothin a lil foam bumper thing won't fix. somethin like what is inside of kitchen cabinets to keep em from makin all kinds of noise when they close. you can get em at any ace, home depot, etc. for a couple bucksbut if you got the stereo up loud enough like i do, you won't even notice
