Clutch upgrade stage 2 vs stage 3...

Post by Legros »

Hello,After a the short ram and the magnaflow... I guess the next step would be a unichip or camcon ... But that's gonna wait a bit. I love my GT since the first day... But god i HATE the clutch... I can't believe it cant pass from 2 to 3rd at high rev. Dealer says it's normal... Clutch not made to powershift bla bla bla... Anyway, i'm starting to scan for a new clutch. I guess ACT or clutchmaster are the logical choice? but since it's also my "family" car i don't want something that grip too hard... Does anyone has a suggestion between a stage 3 and stage 2. Is a stage 2 enough for a GT? I guess so since it's not a Torque monster.... but just want to be sure.Thanks.

I have a 'no name' 6-puck ceramic that I got from a local clutch shop. Still have the stock flywheel, and it's been doing a great job since January.Try looking for local places, you don't need to go name brand. I think I got the clutch kit (they resurfaced the flywheel too, since I got the install done at a shop close by) for around $250 or so.
