I was just wondering, I have noticed that when I go into any forum topic that it only lists the first 5-10 posts. At the bottom it says, "Show active threads from last: Use default". You can select all the way from Default-to-All. Is there anyway to make "All" the default. I want to see all the post that have ever been posted under that specific topic. Thanks
Hmmmm. Good question...I see 30 days when I look at a topic, currently.Go to My profile > User Options change your "thread display timeframe" to your liking. I changed mine to All and it worked.Having read most of the posts before when I am looking for something I use the search feature and go from there. Happy surfing Edit: quick draw nova beat me to it.

quote:Thanks again people. That got it. Sorry I didn't see that option. Totally understandable. This place is feature packed. Glad to help out.The two most powerful features in my humble opinion are the "todays active topics" link at the bottom right hand corner of the main forums page and the search function at the top right hand corner of every page.Enjoy

quote:The search function has got to be one of the coolest features about this site. You can find about anything you can think of about the Vibe using it. I agree too! If you do a Search, remember to search the "Post Bodies" instead of just the "Topic Titles". See here for more info:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=913
Speaking of Newbie questions, I guess I'm not really one anymore, but still... I posted this question to Genvibe.com about 2 weeks ago, but no reply. I'm sure it's simple, but I haven't cracked the code so far:"Hi.I have an e-mail which has a couple of attached .jpeg pictures of my car that I'd like to post, but when I try to use this feature on the forum, I can't get my copy and paste functions to work. I've tried clicking on the attached file's icon, then "edit", but the copy tab is greyed out. If I open the file and then click on "Edit", the "Copy" tab is black, but clicking on it seems to have no effect. If I click on the "Browse" box below the blank post box, I get a screen of my files, where I then transferred the jpeg image files, but I still can't figure how to transfer them to my post. Can you help?

Can you help? The only way to get files/pictures onto the forum is to attach them to the post by using the File Attachment option below the Reply window and/or to have your images hosted on a website that you can link directly in your posts. To use the File Attachment feature on the forum, you have to have the files stored locally on your computer's hard drive. When you click the Browse button, you have to search and select the file/picture you want to upload to the post, click Open and make your post. The file will automatically upload to that particular post.Pictures in your e-mail can be saved to your hard drive easily. Assuming you are using Outlook Express (?), open the particular e-mail, right click on the file in the "Attach:" area, choose Save As, and save the file somewhere on your hard drive that you will remember it's location. That is where you will go when you click the Browse button with the File Attachment part of the forum. If nothing else works, you can e-mail the pictures to me and I will post them on the web server for you.Let us know how it goes...
