Does an 8' Table fit?

Post by SeattleJeremy »

I'm getting a Vibe soon, and I was wondering will if a 96"x30" folding table would fit in the car with the rear seat down?Like this one.http://www.officedepot.com/ddS...rowseI seem to rember reading about someone putting 8' peaces of plywood in there Vibe, but I coudn't find it in a search.

You can fit an 8' 2x4 and close the trunk if you lay down the fron seat, but your table will not fit inside.

It would not lay flat. But might fit at an angle. My church has tables like that so I will go and see if it fits....

I have fit an 8' screen door at an angle...I think that is 8'X32". I felt very crowded while driving home.

It will not lay down flat ( too wide-30") but will easily fit with the hatch glass open. I just hauled a storm door (36"x80") and it rested nicely on the lip of the rear hatch with the glass open. As someone else stated, 8' lumber fits fine and you can close the hatch, but a 30" width would probably end up on top of the center console and gearshift.

Only way to get the table to fit was slanted. It was a pain to get to the auto shifter as well... Wouldnt want to travel too far with the table in. But still for a little car it fit!!!
