Seriously Bad Weather

Post by slvrvibes »

I'm not able to make it to work this morning due to seriously bad rain that has cause serious flooding all over town. This is like the "Allison Flood" Deja Vu.So I'm sitting at home watching the local weather showing all the parts of town that are flooded and showing stalled cars, cars going through high water, and what do I see??? A lava vibe going through high water. The water was hitting where the fog lamps are. I was thinking to myself, "what the heck was that vibe driver thinking going through that high water", and at the same time, I was thinking "hey, its a vibe on TV". GM may not be advertising the Vibes, but local news give them exposure. Although, that is not the type of TV exposure I would want to see.

Which is EXACTLY why I stayed home this morning!!! We had local flooding that rivaled Allison. I worked out of the house until about 9:30 and then headed into work. Drainage in NW Houston area hasn't been too bad, but the areas southeast of downtown are still getting heavy rains and flooding isn't going away anytime soon.

I didn't leave the house until 11. I Wanted to make sure the rain had stopped before leaving. Like you Zuben, I live in the NW side, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been in NW Houston. Feel bad for those on the southeast side of town. They got the worst flooding.GMJAP you are welcome to take any of this rain with you up there.
