front right shock leaks

Post by Thewhite »

and not just a little. a lot. there's grease all over it, and some on the ground where I pack it, and my ride has changed a lot, specially on crappy roads. I was thinking to get rid of my spring at the end of this summer, so it will be now. I have already 105 000 km on my car, 40 000 with the springs. I'm about to buy a brand new OEM shock to replace it, but I just thought that I'd save a lot of money if I take a used one. I don't know how long I'll be able to keep the other three, so I might not buy a new one... I don't know. what you guys think?

look into aftermarket one... not like performance but they make just everyday driver ones that are probably cheaper than the OEM ones. and may even be better. But thats one idea and one opinion! Good luck

Good luckSadly, unless you go with Koni Yellows (search under Corolla), there are no aftermarket shocks for us yet. KYB's (GR2?) are OEM...from what I've read here and at http://www.matrixowners.com.
