Where does the stock amp go?

This is obviously a dumb question.. but how do I know if my Vibe has a stock external amp installed or not? It's only got 4 speakers and base single CD.. but now that it's summer, I've been driving around with the windows down. And to be honest, the music can still go surprisingly loud. To me it seems like more than 10 watts. Where would the amp be if my car somehow had one?

Under the passenger seat. You probably don't have an amp if you don't have tweeters in the 'sail panels' where the side mirrors are mounted.

And it's accessible/exposed under the passenger seat right, not beneath the carpet?

Yeah, it's 'elevated' above the carpet, but if you have the seat all the way back and look under the front of the seat, you'd see it.
