Hey there! I thought it was time that I introduced myself. I bought an ’03 on March 1st of this year. March 1st is also my two year old daughter’s birthday, and so now she calls the car “Carlie’s Carâ€. I have to say this is the first car that I have been excited about since my first car (’59 Chevy Impala 2 dr. hard top). It not same kind of car, but it is a lot of fun! I discovered this site the first night I had the Vibe, and I have been checking out all kinds of great stuff. This site makes you want to mod your Vibe. There is so much cool stuff I would like to do, but unfortunately most of money is going to have to go into our house. We have another baby on the way and need to make more room, so I have a long list of house projects on my list. I did manage to get some new wheels and tires though. When I bought my Vibe I new it was going to need new tires soon. I priced replacements for the stock 16†tires that were on it, and a reasonable set was going to cost at least $100 or more a piece. Then one day just for the heck of it, I was looking on eBay, and found some wheels and tires with barely any miles on them. So bid on them and won! They would probably not have been my first choice, but the price was right, and I think they look pretty nice on my car. I would still like to try to tint the windows, and either get a new stereo, or a way to connect my iPod, but who knows maybe I will be able to do a little more in the future. I would really like to get a little more power of the line. Question, how do get one of those genvibe.com stickers for your car?

Wow, thanks for the tip. Maybe I could try that out. a little at at a time is probabbly the way I need to go. '64 are nice cars too! I replaced my '59 with a '61 Imapala 4dr., after my '59 burned up. It was fun as well. It had a big block 348.

No, My '59 caught fire my Junior year, as I was dropping a new engine in it. I had just recovered th seats, and was dropping in a 350. A storm was comming the next day while I was at school, and my mom tried to clean up a bit. She threw the drop light in the car. It was off, but it was hot, and it started to smolder, and then three hours later the whole car burned up. I was very sad. I would really like to get another one someday.

Man I''ve wanted a '59 or '60 Impala my whole life! I used to have a '62 Sedan deVille and then a '58 Sedan deVille. Had to get rid of both of those as well due to practicality reasons. Now I wish I had never gotten rid of either of them! My friend just sold his '63 Impala SS last week. I wanted to kick his @$$ b/c I have been trying to buy it from him since I don't know when. His parents wanted all or none though, and I couldn't afford the $10k they wanted straight up in cash!Nice Vibe BTW and welcome to the site!

Yep, my '61 had the 348, but my ˜59 had a 283. The great thing is that it had 250,000 miles on it before I decided to replace it. Even then it was still running, but on only 5 cylinders.

I want to get another one, but they are so expensive now. I paid $600 for my '59 in 1990, and $300 for my '61 in 1992. I saw a '59 the other in bad shape, it was not even running, and they wanted $6000 for it. It was sold the next week.

Mrizzle05, thanks for posting the website for grafxwerks. I just ordered the rear liftgate inlay and the genvibe decals (both in bright red). I think the red will be a nice contrast against moonstone. Again, thanks.
no problem... someone else would have posted it too.Good luck on the vinyl installs... the inley is a tad bit tricky. i did my fiances in pink! (GIRLS!) and it came out good except for one crease (sp?) on the last letter.
