Do You Have these Options?

Post by Jon6873 »

I think some of these options are for 05 and up, not sure. But I was just wondering how many people have these options that I think are few and far between. I have none of these on my 06.

I wanted to add a "none" selection but I can't seem to edit the poll. I'll just assume those who looked and did not vote don't have any of these options

I have none of them... One that was cancelled too, probably from lack of demand was the Navigation system.

I have all but Stabilitrack. But I have AWD, so don't need it.Kinda hard to do a poll for people that have more than one. Ha Ha.

Side air bags and stabilitrak, pfft! The dealers here make it a point that you're sorely out of luck if you're wanting that stuff and you're the impulse buyer and/or the type who enjoys instant gratification......because they don't stock Vibes with ABS, side air bags, Stabilitrak, etc. I guess they think if you're "stupid" enough to waste money on frivolous items like that, then you should have no problems waiting for the car since they would have to order it. Back in the day, they never had nav either, probably the same holds true now for mp3. Never ran across one with the alarm. And I've spent lots of time hanging out at the dealer, so I would be one to know the history of their inventory. lol!Hope you like automatic base models with moon & tunes, otherwise you be orderin' that thing around here!

AWD does not diminish the need for Stabilitrack. Stabilitrack helps correct sidways skids like when being pushed to hard in a turn. AWD does diminish the need for Traction Control which comes with Stabilitrack.

no offense, but if your fwd is skidding out of control sideways, what have you done to make it do that?

One way to cause a sideways skid is to cut the wheel a little sharp on a slick road, like if you try to avoid a pothole. I have Stabilitrac on both my Vibe and AWD RX300 (called VSC on Toyota products). I tested both on a slick parking lot and the Stabiltrac does a nice job with putting the car back on track.

I have an 03 GT that has the side airbags and theft deterrent. I have no clue if it has stabilitrak or not, is there a way to find out?I would love to have the MP3 option but would definitely not trade the 6 disc in-dash changer for a single disc to get it.

StabilTrac comes bundled with Traction Control. So if you have a Trac Off button you have StabilTrac. It is only available on base automatic, so it's not on the GT.

I have the Theft Deterrent system, but I had no choice for the others since my vibe was "previously enjoyed" . If I did have a choice I would have chosen the Side Airbags and ABS too.For those of you with ABS, do you ever feel them kicking in during the Winter months? I slid into a few intersections last season and wondered how big of a difference ABS would have made.
