Ipod Adaptor (Hard-Wired)

Post by BigSugar »

Hi, sorry if this is a repeat. I have a 2003 base model Vibe with the very basic 1 CD, 4 speaker stereo. It does have the Band button and CD/AUX buttons, and AM/FM button.I am very interested in hardwire iPod to my car. Do anyone know some sort of Adaptor (Commerically Available) which connect ipod with Aux fuction of your stereo? Ideally, I'd like to control the Ipod as I playing CD in the car stereo, Skip song, fast forward/reverse songs. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Assuming you have AM/FM, some products should work, others that use the XM interface (esp any that that try to display song titles) won't work. The following should work, and will give you some limited control over the iPod:Peripheral IPOD2CARPAC IPAC-OEMNeo iON (Same as IPOD2CAR, I think)Monster iCruizeThere are others, but that's a starting list. Expect to spend about $100, but look around - many places have very inflated prices.

I have the Peripheral iPod2Car in my '04 and I love it. There is a little cord that we installed to come out through the cubby in the shifter, and it works perfect. I plug the iPod in and am good to go. You can forward and reverse songs through your stereo--it doesn't perform ALL the functions that the iPod alone does, but it works great for me.
