6.5" Coaxials in front, how many RMS from stock 1-CD radio 2005-would new amp be superio for fronts?

Post by lexicon »

Greetings,I have a 2005 stock HU, single CD.How many REAL RMS watts does this produce?Who makes the unit?I have two Infinity 6.5" coaxials for the front.Does the stock head unit have enough juice to do a SOLID job of driving these speakers OR, would I be better off running the fronts to a seperate amp (dont want the extra hassle unless it will really make a difference...I have a 40 watt/ch laying around.... I am just a little lazy )Thanks for the advice

If it's the stock HU, probably about 10w per channel.Don't know for sure, but probably made by Delphi. And yes, almost any external amplifier will make a difference with those speakers.
