Honda fit Turned out to be a nice little car.

Post by tangerine »

This car has Acura quality interior and not a bad look. I was expecting it to look like ****. Not too shabby for a car that is $15,000 fully loaded.

See, not every cheapo econobox sucks! The whole penalty box thing is really fading fast these days, the lil' cars from just about everybody out there are getting really nice. I would have looked at these, but while the price is good, it is still too high... Honda's "we don't need no steenkin' incentives" thing wasn't helping. And the stuff I was reading on Edmunds and the like about dealer markup since the cars are rather popular now really didn't help. All told, something just didn't make me too convinced that I could pick one of these up for the mere $14,000 that I was able to spend.

This certainly is the trend of cars now in terms of looks and prices!

It's got to be fuel prices. Maybe manufacturers realize that the only people buying small cars aren't first-time buyers; if they want to sell the little K-cars to anyone but first time buyers, they're going to have to make the things slightly nicer inside and out. That, of course, is what they're doing with the Fit, Yaris, Versa, etc.

I've always liked Hondas, and have driven them exclusively after my 280Z and then motorcycles.Mine have been hugely reliable, bulletproof even, and of course great on gas.I can't afford to buy one now, they are just too much money. And I just CAN'T go back to actual ricer-ness. I've been converted to the religion of VIBE.

I don't get how people find this car attractive. Because it's a Honda? There's hardly an aspect of the car I find non-ugly. A Vibe is much better-looking.A link to my full review of the Fit can be found on my site's page for the car:http://www.truedelta.com/models/Fit.php

there was an article on edmunds about the fit beating the new Z06 through the sloloms...i wish they would have posted a video with it. As far as it being ugly, thats a personal opinion..I kinda thought my vibe was ugly for a while when I first got it, but after I started modding it it grew on me. The fit is the same body style as the previous Civic SI and I think it looks good.
