The reason they don't show the large filter at the top is because it is hidden during installation. If the filter was visible, it would be a short ram intake and not a Cold Air Intake. I just bought the Injen CAI from ptuning.com and it came with all of the parts. This forum even provides great installation instructions. Read up for installation tips/tricks.

The filter is included. It goes on the end not connected to the engine. The filter sits in between the bumper and the wheel well. [IMG][/IMG]

No way to know because I never ran it full length. I'm sure it flows better than the stock air box but I have no way to know if it's less than a full length CAI. I doubt it. The only effect would be the air temps are colder with a full length CAI. However, with the Ram Air hood, it's now getting cold air form the hood.

VB4444:That is the same thing that ptuning offers. the picture that I posted is the same thing, only it has a longer tube. The filter IS at the end of the pipe, making it a true CAI. all Injen CAI's come with the filter. You might not see it in the picture, but its there. I promise. I put the STEVE MARTIN WORD OF HONOR on the fact that if you order the CAI from Ptuning, you'll get the filter too. I PROMISE
