I am... deep down inside... but right now i feel like shizz... i loved that action vibe. and as i sit in my new car, i see all the places the vibe had a little nick nack storage center and this one doesn't.but this car obviously had some things i liked more. turbo... paddle shift. i get a new jetta gli.i am sad because i cant be an active contributor to genvibe anymore... easily the best car community website. i always marvel at the fact that there just never seems to be a flame war here. how great is that? when i owned a caddy... i would go to those forums whenever i wanted to hear people complaining about everything. even the moderator putting the brand down there. when i came here its always people identifying and solving problems and making these great cars better.i also feel a little weird... this is my first new car purchase thats not a GM... well at least this way i can get teh conquest rebate when i come back anyway, i hope you guys will still have me as a guest. i would rather chat with the friends i have made here than anywhere else on the web.this isn't goodbye. this is just a transition... one that emotionally is really a TON harder than i thought it would be. what a car...the vibe.
German engineering in da house...Sorry I just had to say it! Sorry to see your Vibe go, but congrats on your new car! We'll all miss your cool and unique Vibe mods though.
I feel the same, my friend! That feeling, well, yes, "it is certainly sucking!" The night I traded in demon spawn Sir Knocksalot, somehow I was still sad as heck about the decision! I bought a car that I knew I would enjoy, and I was enjoying. There were so many things about the new car that I simply liked better than the Vibe, which made it difficult to understand why I was a bit sad. But I found the reason I was sad was simply because of everyone here. The Vibe is a special car, that's for sure. It has brought me some most excellent happiness in life. But it isn't really the car, as I found - it is the people. The people here are great! The car, blah - it sucked to see it go in a way, but to lose that part of the connection with all these fine folks here, that was the worst part. This place is so unique, it was even more sad to realize that I haven't run across a Hyundai forum worth a crap! No matter what else I drive from this point on, there will never be a forum dedicated to said transportation appliance that will compare to this one.I say you're welcome to stick around for as long as you like. Look at how many of us do not have the Vibe any longer. It does feel weird to not be able to contribute to the community for car-related projects... I'm sure we'll come up with some really cool stuff at one point or another but the thought of not being able to share it (or being able to share it at a place where it will apply and/or someone will give a rat's (removed)) is kind of a bummer. We need people like you here, so you must stay. Your sense of humor is just fricken hilarious! Go out and enjoy the new ride, it sure does look great! You'll have a blast with it. Don't worry about the Vibe, you've still got it as far as I'm concerned. Keep us posted on that new car! Let's see some more pictures, the Vibe is nice to look at and stuff, but variety is the spice of life. Let's look at somethin' different. Enjoy that car, it is a beauty!

Must resist.... V... Tec.... Temptation... to strong... "WARNING: Genvibe is a very addictive website... constant use can result in car modification and a lowering of your bank account. use with extreme caution!http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2298639
its people like you and Colonel that make this a great forum. Everyone is always kind no matter what you drive. I have seen alot of forums bash you if you dont have the GT or the GTU or whatever the top of the line model is. Genvibe doesnt care what you drive its all about the people and having fun. I would ride with any of you. I know I am new to the forum but have become addicted now. There is something about it. I love you man!!!! now give me a Bud Light!
Hey guy- do stick around. Appreciate all your posting how-to's & info. I'm still planning on doing some remote radio controls down the path you blazed. I think it's a testament to how many people still hang around here who no longer have a Vibe to how great the site is.Enjoy the Turbo!

hey... what a great set of replies to come home to see after a long day at work... and a sleepless night. its weird... ya know... it doesnt help that after 8 GM cars in a row, i have a foreign make and nothing is where its supposed to be!i do want to say, that i did keep my vibe seatbackpack and WILL 100% for sure install it in teh jetta as a tribute to my former partner. i hope someone really deserving buys the ol' action vibe. it has a lot to give.ok, to answer some questions:Since i knew it wasn't doing dinky-doo for my trade in, i did take a lot of my mods back out. so this weekend i will be making a picture catalogue for all the stuff that i bought over the past two years that needs a new vibe to call home. my mom and step dad and their moonstone AWD get first dibs tomorrow, but there will be a lot left over. i will post in for sale thread this weekend.mods i left in for the next owner to enjoy: retained accessory 'module' by joatman, two tone horn, metal door sills, cargo net package, new speakers, back bumper cover that GMJAP found and the interior LED lighting. it also has a set of sunvisors from TNpartsguy, so there's a little bit of everyone in that car!so far the turbo is treating me well, i need to spend some time tonight learning how to program the darn thing so i dont dislocate my wrist everytime i go to open a locked door that would have been unlocked in the vibe.paddle shifting is fun. it certainly has me hoping that the 2008 vibe will have a GT with the 2.0L ecotec with paddle shift. wouldn't that be something? (psst, pontiac i am accepting job offers ) make it AWD whilst at it.i agree 100% with Colonel about the people here and the posts here and the attitude here. i have been doubting myself alot the last 24 hours. i cam here and i feel better. i dont agree with him calling my action vibe an appliance!!! if you would stop torturing bunny rabbits in your basement and burning worms iwth a magnifying glass you would see that your luck with things CAN change!!! the vibe was the victim in your relationship and you know it! poor car never had a chance. its probably already won the 24 hours of lemans with its new owner.no real mod plans for the jetta (by the way, heretofore named the jetta weber... you advertising historians will certainly appreciate). i need to add a dimming mirror (honestly... how do they still make cars that dont have this standard???) and i need to decide what to do audio wise. teh VW ipod adapter doesn't show track names on the radio and even though i have a button with a picture of a phone on it on my steering wheel, i don't really have that feature.you wanna see a kick a$$ implimentation of car bluetooth, check out the audi a3. displays your phone book on the DIC in the dash.i would love to get a yellow hood with a giant air sucking vent on top!!thanks joat, jap, colonel, micbarric, NascarXprt, silverawd, mrizzle, toasted, slvrvibes, Kari (the furute mrs bad freaking luck karma), ssiv, jwal... for the kind words!!!oh yea, and i do have one huge regret... i never god the vibe mod master plan complete so that i would get nominated for VOTM. you shoulda seen teh plan. you'll get a taste when you see what i have for sale here is another pic for y'all.
hey jeff, you're always welcome here!v dubs are sweet cars. the commercials are cool (zis car isn't fast and its making me furious). i had an 85gti and loved it. they're more sophistaced now. my vibe brings back fond memories of driving the vwstick around! enjoy the ride
