I just puchased a new Hu from sony and i took my 6-cd changer out. but my new wire harness connects fine with the new HU harness but i knowticed that there is a white conecter and a black conecter with a white wire..what is the black connecter with white wire for? if i dont plug anything into it will my HU still work????Theres noting to plug that one into?
Can you post a pic?Did the connector and wire that doesn't go anywhere used to plug into the smaller socket on the back of your stock 6CD?If so, then you should be fine leaving it unconnected.

Yea! thats the one...there are three things that pluged into the back...the anetnna, the big blue one and then the small (about half the size) black one..what is that one for?? I didnt want to hook it all up then find it didnt work..but i took a chance and it sounds about the same as the stock HU but it has the AUX jack, and sub out puts, which is what i needed....
The white wire is labelled as "mute", and is only in Moon&Tunes Vibes. I think it's an output of the radio to mute the amp, but is only used in OnStar equipped vehicles.Anyhoo, glad to hear the new HU is sounding good!
