JSP hood PART II!

Post by damronjr »

They have the fastest shipping ever I swear! Just yesterday the site showed it in Illinois and it took like 2-3 days to get there from NY! Today they called to tell me they wanted to make sure I was home so they could drop it off!! This 1 looks a lot better than the last. We'll see how it holds up! Pics coming soon! (on my comp, just not on photobucket yet!)

It's already installed, about 20min after it got here! It's only 4 bolts! Pics almost done, pics of new rotors there too.NM, pics later tonight or tomorrow morn. Photobucket is too slow and I have to leave to pick up the wife and take her to a training for her work.

Thanks guys! Brian, the rotors felt a little weird at first but I think that was just b/c everything was new. Now they're golden! As far as what they did, they gave me a new hood! This one had holes already drilled for the liner and such (old one didn't), the paint on the underside was much nicer and cleaner, and I immediately noticed this one has the Quality Control Passed sticker whereas the other didn't. This one has 1 flat spot, but with the hood down you can't see it. Overall it looks 10x better than the last.

That would suck if that's the case.

Man that looks soo much better than mine!!I think I'm gonna do the same as you. I finaly got to hand wash the car and noticed all kinds of hazing and what almost looks like bumps all over the hood. The worst spot is right in the front by the latch. Not to mention a couploe flat spots on the front edge. Was trying to decide if I should cover it up with paint, but I like the carbon fiber look.

Lol I have awesome luck too so the guy the in the room next to mine burnt down his room with a halogen light and caused smoke dmg to my room and now parts of my hood are covers it soot I think mine will have haze problems too so I might just clean the soot off and send it back to them for a new one (mine is still in nearly the same condition it came out of the box in though) Btw, I didn't see the quality control sticker on mine either Jason

If they are having a big problem with these hoods, I wouldn't doubt if they are hiding right now. They can't ignore a phone call. They can give you the "we're working on it, give us some time" thing, but at least they have to answer you that way.

Yeah that's what she said int he last email...it's not like it's Linda's fault that the hoods are trashed so I dunno what the problem is...Who ever finished them in China should be slapped silly.

HAHAHAHA Mine fits perfectly but it's smudging (removed)....Car parts should DEFINATELY not be made in a country that does not have a successful car company.Although no one that has seen my car has mentioned the sun spots except for the big one on the right side. I get SOOOOOOOOO many compliments on it though so...
