Alright, since i've seen a few folks asking about the TRD CAI (it's just a little different from the Injens and Cosmo's). here's a post i found on Matrixowners.com that madbikes had put together. very nice walk through. wish i'd had it the first time i'd installed mine! lol. TRD CAI Install
I read that one , but there wasnt enough pics for me to see where the brackets installed. I bought mine used and it did not come with the TRD install guide but i did get it from someone on MO so i think i can install it now...just need my stock throttle body bolts.....i wish they had gps!! losing stuff sucksThanks for posting that up here. maybe when i install mine ill have someone loan me their camera and make a nice one with TONS of pics...i love pictures!
Well I got my TRD intake installed yesterday, wow hmm Lancers install guide for the injen was the most help as it had good pictures of the hoses. I was freaked out at first because it makes this slight sucking sound...i think thats normal? and then when i was driving with WOT WOW i think i was driving a dual piped F150. but I FRIGGIN LOVE THE SOUND and i noticed its a little quicker with response and pick up. I have some video of me driving i will post up later today.

sucking sound is normal. it's like a vaccum you know. but ya, i don't have that sound anymore on my LGT. but i was hearing this wierd sucking sound and kinda got scared since i hadn't heard it before. but then i was told it was normal since i have a turbo and since i always have the radio on... well, duh! lolstill debateable on CAI or SR on the turbos. i've read some threads where some of the legacy guys have had some serious engine probs.. not really sure why though. it's just a tube with an oiled filter! how can that blow up a motor?
