I currently have 17 inch wheels but made the lazy mistake of leaving them on through the winter thus all the stuff they put on the roads here during the winter ate up the polished lip and dulled the rest of the wheel.. I have thought about getting a different set and just throw these back on in the winter months.. if I were to get 18 inch to use most of the year but put the 17s back on during the winter would that cause any problems?? I know the speedometer calibration will be off with the size upgrade
Here is a link to a wheel/tire size calculator. You can go up in wheel size and still maintain the same diameter by reducing the tire height(aspect) http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp225/45/17 is only 0.44% smaller than 225/40/18. So 60mph would now be 59.7mph with 18"
