Does Performance Header actually do anything?

Post by GoLowDrew »

Correct me if I'm wrong.- Header improve performance by smoothing out the exhaust coming out.- Header are generally useless if there is no cat back and run on stock exhaust. Therefore, Headers are useful only if there is Intake and Complete exhaust system.

new headers are good because they have larger piping so more exhaust can flow out and not be restricted. you dont need a full intake and cat back system to see gains. on newcelica theres a guy that ported headers and saw gains of 7-10hp on stock celica gt, which is like the base vibe.

you can pay like $150 for ported stock headers or buyJP headers and down pipeand yes DC sports makes a header aswellIve seen a pic of the knock off ones on ebay and they have bad welds and poor quality, the holes on the header part arent even the same size with each other.

So the DC Sports headers hook up to the stock exhaust on the vibe? I didn't know if the matrix and vibe pipes were in the same placeor not
