I was getting bored with the red in my engine bay. It wasn't that glossy and all that jazz. I decided to paint it black like stock.I painted all the red pieces semi-gloss black and then I realiazed I wanted something a little more than stock so I stood far back and touched it with some silver paint to give it a silver flake appearance. i think it came out descent. Only took a couple hours including the time to dry. Then after that I sprayed a few coats of clear on it to give it some shine. As for the VVT-i in the middle I might mask it off and paint it or order grafxwerks decal. I also want to hand paint some kind of signiture or something on the little bubble to the right of hte VVT-i letters. Here are pics, what do you think?BTW excuse the dirty engine compartment.
i can find the signature you were talikng about. but over all that is a nice job. im going to have to do the same thing with my vibe once i get her back.

lol yeah I agree...it also looks better in the sunlight since the light is not as focused but I'll live with it. I was oging to pay my friend to paint it to match the car witha nice even automotive paint with auto clear on it but I didn't feel like waiting or paying for it so this is good for now. I don't have an air compressor and spray gun or anything so I had to use spray paint shhhhh...Now I just have to figure out if I wanna leave the CAI red of have it powder coated a different color.
