New member/ Vibe owner checking in

Post by nygiantzz1 »

Hi, I recently decided to get back to my GM roots and purchased a 2006 Vibe (base) today, Details: Moonstone, preffered package, monotone appearance package, sun/sound package and auto trans. I spent a few days on this forum (lurking) doing research on the Vibe. This is a great board and all of your posts were very helpful in making my decision. I have owned several cars over the years, almost all GM's except 1 Mustang (1986) and 1 Explorer (1999). I started shopping back in February and on March 4th, I ordered a 2007 Dodge Caliber. I guess the thought of something totally new and different sucked me in. I came to my senses two weeks and cancelled that order. I have never owned a Mopar in my life, temporary insanity I think?!? I test drove the Vibe and I was hooked. it is roomy, handles well and looks really good for a wagon. I then scoured this board and the web in general, looking for problems. I didn't find many at all.(Thanks for all the detailed posts for reference) I will be picking it up tomorrow at 11:00AM. I work evenings, but I promise to post pictures by Wednesday afternoon.
