Aloha, A friend on another message board gave me the link to this board. I've been a lurker until now. I just helped my Mom get a FROSTY base '06 Vibe. We got a loyalty incentive and also used our GM Card earnings. My Mom was bragging about how little gas her new car was using; I drove it and saw how fun and versitile/practical it was and loved it so much, I had to have one too-I just ordered a NEPTUNE base. Before the Vibe obsession, we had two Bonnevilles ('89 and a used '95) and an '88 Quad 4 Grand Am and I still have my used '95 Firebird, which I have stopped driving because it is burning oil. I have to wait "up to 90 days" for them to build it and ship my Neptune Vibe here.
So that's you! Kari told me about the "convert" from elsewhere on the 'net. Congratulations on your decision. And thanks for stopping by! Glad to meet ya, and I'm sure you'll have a great time here. These folks here are great! Nice color, btw.

Thanks everyone! Yes, I am the newbie Kari 'recruited'. Does she get a promotion? Heheee One of these days I'll figure out how to post pics of the Frosty and Neptune Vibes together;) I eventually want to get some stuff done to mine, like spoilers and rims, but it'll be awhile-after paying for the car when it gets here, I'll be back to being penniless! LOL;)
what's goin on hawaii, welcome to the site. my mom had the same experience as you did with my vibe after i bought it. she calls it the "funmobile" lol, and now she's lookin for one. now if only i knew of a place where i could get some helpful info and maybe find a good used one for my mom... anybody know of such a place?? lol

WOW! When you said Pontiac Lover, you weren't kidding. Welcome, and congratulations to the new addition to the family and to the one on the way. At NUMMI, we'll do our best to bring your Neptune Base Vibe into this world just as soon as we can. Not too sure how long that little boat ride from California to Hawaii is going to take though.
Thank you for the NUMMI link! It was fascinating! My Neptune will start out as a roll of American steel and made by American auto workers;) I have to sell the '95 Firebird as is. I have no money to fix her...she needs a lot of work. It isn't an LT1-just a 3.4L V6. She looks pretty good; needs more mechanical and interior work than body work. She has been good to me for a car that I got used (it had Texas plates on it-according to Carfax report, previous owner registered it across country several times TX-FLA-TX) I've had it for about 4 years now; has 156,000 miles on it
