Just curious, what is in your Vibe CD player?I don't have my Vibe yet, but I do have a CD player in my Grand Am, and I have Listener Supported from Dave Matthews Band in right now (big shock).
I am currently listening to classic Metallica, Master of Puppet's CD. Just to let you know also, there is already a thread about this. Try using the search function. It will help you see all sorts of topics that might peek you interests. Here is the thread that was already started. Funny thing is, it is titled the exact same as yours: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2605

Thanks for the tip (sorry ). I should have known there was an existing thread that could be added on to. I'll use the search function next time. The same thread name, that's kinda funny.
My list has changed slightly since 2/1 when I last posted in the other thread:6-disc, in-dash player:1 = Star Wars IV "A New Hope" soundtrack - Disc 12 = Star Wars IV "A New Hope" soundtrack - Disc 23 = Metallicas 'Black' album4 = CD-R containing various songs from Metallicas "Load", "Re-Load" and the single "I Disappear" from the MI2 soundtrack5 = CD-R containing various songs from Metallicas "Master of Puppets" and "S&M" albums; PODs "Satellite" (how appropriate since I have a satellite Vibe); and various GnR songs6 = Rachael Lampa "Live for You"My older daughter (age 5) is hooked on Star Wars now. She loves to watch all 5 movies. She found out I had the soundtrack to the original and asked to have it in the car so she can listen on the way to school. I guess listening to classical music by John Williams isn't such a bad thing.
No it isn't. I have a box set containing all three original sountracks from the movies and a CD containing unreleased tracks. Very good set. I also have the soundtracks from Episodes I & II. I love them all. I have been considering those sets of two CD's from every movie as well. I will have to get those in the future. BTW, no need to be sorry about the post. Just thought I would give you a heads up about future posts.

There are several Metallica fans on genvibe. It's been a while since I pumped any Metallica in my car, I'll have to crack it out again.I had 7th row tix at the Metrodome for their tour with GNR back in early 90's. That was great concert.
Ahh Disturbed good choice my friend. Actually just got tickets to see them in Chicago with Taproot, Chevelle, and someone else on the Music As A Weapon 2 tour. It should kick some (removed) its the last show of the tour and Disturbed and Chevelle are also Chicago area bands. Also going to see them at Ozzfest this year. Woo Hoo!
Won't you please be...my neighbor?Hello neighborKevin
Pink Floyd--Dark Side of the Moon.I have Fleetwood Mac, Dixie Chicks, Fast and the Furious Soundtrack, Avril Lavigne and Linkin' Park on the Visor for quick access...But Pink Floyd has been in the player for a few days now...
Heather Proud vibe owner I'M DRIVING IT 'TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! IT HAS SURVIVED ABUSE FROM A DUCK......A COYOTE...AN ARMADILLO...A HUGE DEER (NONE OF THEM WERE PETS EITHER ) ...AND A DAUGHTER....WHAT A CAR! 106K AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!!
I had to check my CD. I am not as up on new bands as I once was.I have had "Tea Party" "Triptych" running for a week around town. It has survived two spins. They remind me of led zepelin My kids like to buy me new music once in a while, I mention I like something that is on the radio and occasionally it ends up under the tree.In the Visor CD holder typically is U2, Led Zepelin, collective soul, tragically hip, dianna krall, stones, who.....Mostly I listen to the radio.

Oh Yes!!! Pink Flloyd --Dark Side of The Moon. I was 20 years old in 1973 and was living in England while stationed there in the Air Force.I can never forget how popular that record was. Everyone bought it and we would listen to it for hours on our state of the art sound systems. I still have my original LP record bought in London , England in 1973 and still play it today.Did you know --It took 6 months in the studio to cut this record. and it is one of the best mixing and recording jobs done in that era.Plus the misc talking through out the record were random employees of Abbey Road Studios--- EX:---"There is no dark side of the moon in fact its all dark"Ok Now----Run--Rabbit --Run------------------------------- James
I have been a Pink Floyd fan ever since I was a sophomore in High School. I can remember when they went on tour in 1994-- I camped out for tickets here in Nashville for 5 days, in February. That was slightly crazy I know, but I was 18...I didn't care. There is a substantial age difference between my husband and I ( I am 27 and he is 39) so Pink Floyd is one of the few bands that we both like. So it's always in the car. He says his skin crawls when I play Eminem, Missy Elliot, Michelle Branch or Avril Lavigne. Good thing I don't like nsync, that really makes him crazy.... My stepdaughter loves nsync, so I have to play it for her sometimes...and he cringes every time...

I went to Nsync when they were in Mpls last year (I would never have gone, but I took my 12 yr old niece for her birthday, I was a very cool uncle - for a while anyway). They surprised me (and made the concert somewhat tolerable) by doing about 4 Beatles songs in a row. They actually did a nice job of it, too.I recently got the new Pearl Jam CD (Riot Act) and played it today while running around. Very solid CD. Real good guitar from the boys.
Unfortunately, right now, I don't have any CD's in my car. I haven't bought a CD in a while and the ones I have at home....I'm tired of listening to them. Terrible isn't it?

Terrible isn't it?I think you need some new CD's (might I suggest my Avatar to the left...). I carry about 50 in my car and rarely listen to the radio (the commercials drive me crazy).I think the only way I would taper my CD listening is if I got XM...
The last couple weeks been listening to Korn-Untouchables, Kid Rock, and Aerosmith. Zamboni Guy is DMB the Dave Matthews Band? If so, I have the CD Everyday and Crash. Great music.

Yes, DMB is the Dave Matthews Band. Crash is a great choice. Everyday was a diversion into more of a radio friendly sound, but is still pretty good.
Dire Straits brothers in arms, Cherryl Crow, Beastie Boys, Jars of Clay, Linkin Park, Johhny Horton. (6 cd stacker)i like almost every genre out there.
Shadow two tone, 5 speed, 16" alloys, power group, ABS safety group, 6CD, 200watt. Love the car.

WOW!! lets revive an old thread. its almost a year old. oops 2 yearsJoe Bonamassa was just in town so I picked up the CD "Had To Cry Today"good blues guitar reminisent of Lynard Skynard, Allman Brothers, Cream, ect...here is a link check him out. http://www.jbonamassa.com/index.htm
This thread is closer to TWO years old -- this is January '05!Disc 1 - Long/Pote - Malice in the Palace Title sounds like Pacers vs. Pistons, but it's not - it's a musical for church -I'm learning a part.Disc 2 - Tim Zimmerman & King's Brass - Best of Brass & Organ - A traveling brass ensemble from Ft Wayne area - Maybe you've heard them, Sheldon?Disc 3 - Sarah Vaughan - The Definitive Sarah Vaughan - SWEEEEET, if you're into Sarah V.Disc 4 - Lionel Richie - The Definitive Collection - (notice a trend here?) All my favorite Richie tunes. For the 'younger generation', he's Nicole Richie's father.Disc 5 - Herb Alpert - Passion Dance - if you liked TJB, this is salsa-influenced Herb, still at his best, at age 70!Disc 6 - Emerson, Lake & Palmer - GOLD -my own compilation of discs 1 & 2- Live concert recordings sorta sounds like their vintage synthesizer stuff. OK, but ultimately unsatisfying. I'd rather listen to original ELP.

I've decided as my New Year's resolution I'm going to be a bigger person so therefore that means I can not mock Mike. Well, they were made to be broken, weren't they? Just kiddin Mike....I got that for my nephew for Christmas and I actually wanted to open it and listen to it first. I hate her, but I heard that song and liked it--before I knew it was her. Is it a decent cd?Right now I'm listening to Collective Soul, Dishwalla, Coldplay, Van Hunt, Usher, Madelyn Peyroux, and Queen Latifah "The Dana Owens Album".
Right now Live's Greates Hits is in the player - but honestly - I haven't listened to it in a long time. XM has rendered my CD collection useless for the most part.LONG LIVE THE XM NATION!
