3M plastic coating on front??

I was getting a rock chip fixed on the Vibe windsheild and lady at the shop was selling me on this 3M plastic film for the front grill, mirror fronts and hood. Does anybody have this stuff on thier vibe and how is it standing up?I noticed I already got a few chips in the paint on the front. The paint looks pretty thin so I was thinking this 3M stuff might not be a bad ideal for those area's that get all chipped up etc.

depending on the cost it might be worth it.as stated in many threads, out paint pretty much sucks! so that more or less might be a good investment. i have a few slightly noticable chips and a bunch of the ones you see up close.if i could afford that i would do it.
