Post by andrewmva »

it is unreal up here... took me about 45min to dig out the Matrix... I had to guess which pile of snow it was under... I could see no trace of the car....completely covered..... After Along day of sitting around doing nothing my GF and I dug out the car and went drifting....... she used to scream and be like "STOP IT!!!" now she is like "Do it again, that was fun!!"

Here in SE Pennsylvania, we got 22" this weekend. I must say that the Vibe GT is terrible in the snow. No matter how gentle you drive it , it still spins. Getting stuck alot. I have a shovel in the back just in case i get stuck now.

We haven't had squat for snow this year. COLD, but not much snow. I hear the farmers could be in bad shape around here in the spring unless we get some decent snowfalls/rains. It did get just above freezing today!!!!!!! Supposed to get up to 37F on Friday.

Yes the plows came at about 11 last night and plowed another four feet or so of snow behind the car that I had to shovel this morning to get to work ... there is so much snow everywhere no one knows where to put it all.

What I want to know is where do I get some of whatever pixie dust the guy with that red SUV over at the right edge of all the shots is using! There's barely a flake on it in any of the pix!

That crazy woman was in and out of the parking like 5 times throughout the storm ... must really enjoy driving in the snow and testing out her AWD, I guess.

I got about 2 feet. I left work this afternoon and the car had a wicked vibration ( no pun intended) at 60, that only got worse. I pulled over a nd found that the snow packed in my rims had heated up a little and had all settled in at the bottom and re-froze. I used and ice scraper to clear it and it went away. Freaked me out at first. 3k and a trip to the dealer? no thanks,West Hartford,CT

All I have to say is, for once you can't blame Canadian weather for this one, since it didn't come from us.

quote:I love the snow you guys got, I hope we get something like that here soon.I don't want to see another storm like this for a couple of winters. It is still causing a headache in places.....at work there is not enough parking places for everyone in my building....it took my wife an hour and half to get home (usually 25 min) from her job because a three lane road was down to one because they didn't plow all the streets yet and people were parking in the street.

VibeSalsa, what was the location of this snow storm? In 1977 we had a snow storm similar to that.

Wow, that is truly amazing. I've been snowed into my house before, but that car just totally disappeared. Probably has something to do with the way the wind swirls in between the buildings ... that red SUV looks like it's more in the clear. It's days like that when I'm totally pumped that I have AWD. I like to drive around, just because I can, and those poor buggers in their Celicas & Civics are out pushing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

This wasn't from the most recent blizzard we had. I couldn't find the car then. But this was the biggest storm prior to that the vibe has experienced:
