he did and others have too!but i think it would be easier to buy the older year headlights. they have the black trim. figure it would be easier then easy bakin your headlight to get to the chrome part.just my 2 cents

i have painted one head light but i neede to redo it and finish the other one but they are not that hatd to do but you need to be extremely careful when doing it.
I guess I have never noticed the inside of the headlight housing, but wouldn't the chrome help with the light distribution. I would think that if you painted it there would not be as much light emanating from the headlight unit.
he already has the first generation headlights, how much older can you get with vibe headlights? The black housing looks much much better than the chrome ones, just a better compliment to any body color, as opposed to BRILLIANT chrome. p.s. you can see the black housings, right below V
