Winter storm warning...

Post by Triton »

Just wondering who else is under the gun for this winter storm warning that we have here in Lansing. They are calling for 4 to 8 inches here. I hope we don't get that much, but if we do, it will be a good test for the Vibe.

Just got the warning (Winter Weather Advisory) on my cell phone. Looks like 4-6 inches for us.

Well, the total as of this morning was around 8" in my driveway. All schools cancelled and even morning college classes. What are some other totals from around the state?BTW, the Vibe did great!

Funny thing is now the sun is out. It has been out most of the day. It is a beautiful site to see the new snow with the sun shining on it. I still can't wait for spring though!

Yeah, it's nice not having to leave for work when it's dark, then leave to go home and it's still dark... nice to have some light still out again!

quote:6in. here with all school classes cancelled.I had a fun drive into work at 5:30am on I-75. Lots of semis stirring up the snow, especially on the Z-bridge. I couldn't see anything. Only 2 mins late for work, and I got there w/o hitting anything. I fired up the quad and plowed out the driveway before I left though so the wife could get out.(removed), where did you get the animated radar image from? I go to http://www.weather.com to get the radar, but the one you posted has VERY cool graphics. Thanks,Carl

For all Michigan members follow this link http://www.wunderground.com/US/MI/ and click on the city nearest your location. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I took a hydrometer reading on my brew and had to bottle it. This time I made an oatmeal stout and have to wait 10 days for it to condition.

For another cool weather site try http://www.nws.noaa.gov this is the national weather services web site, with lots for cool radar images that you can play with.
