about vibes

i have a vibe 2004 .. its auto matic .i wnat to change it to standard ..i need help on this , plus changing my back end to disc brakes .. also have some ideas on making it faster.. i have a cat back systems and intake .. what else can i do that is not alot of money .. thank you if you can help

if you are wanting to do a full tranny and engine swap and NOT spend a lot of money, then trade your car in. otherwise, you will be spending a crap load of money! if you just want to get more from your car, look at a s/c, turbo, or just don't want to spend thousands, then go with a unichip or other engine management. it will improve your low end tq and upper hp all the way around.

thats cool .. so you of sites where i can find things for the engine ..you talk about s/c i no about that one .. what kind of turbo .. the chip is like 600.00 ..what do you think about headers ..do know of webs sites for vibes ..theres not alot of them ..thank you if you can help

Rear brake conversion requires new hub assy with calipers, rotors, pads and such. Tranny swap requires a new manual transmission (not cheap) and the modification and installation of a clutch assy with peddle.Cost to you? more then you might possibly want to invest. I would suggest buying a used 04 Vibe manual, buy the supercharger or install a turbo.

you may want to check out matrixowners.com for more info on performance parts and things you can do. if you are just looking to make your vibe faster, then do a search on turbos and superchargers. there are a TON of threads. in fact there are several posted in the past few days. check out the active threads link and look through those as well as in the forced induction forum.
