I have work off for the 20th. I'll definitely be there.. would anybody be interested in doing projects? I was going to replace my stock speakers before then but if anybody is interested in seeing it done I'll wait until the meet
Cool - I'm hopefully going to have my Springs and Attempt puting them in - we'll have to see about that though. do a little back yard BBQ or something. Hopefully I won't have anything come up between now and then.

Anybody feel like helping me rip out the headliner and removing one really jacked up moonroof sunshade? I seriously need some help here, I screwed up bigtime and ruined my moonroof shade - don't ask, let's just say I'm a fricken moron, that's all you really need to know and that's all I am going to tell you. It needs to come out because it is bent and will no longer stay in the tracks, but I haven't been successful at getting it out. If that sounds like fun, count me in! I do have to work that day, I'll have to check with the boss to see if I can take off so I'm not a 100% yes yet...

I just found out today that I'm busy on the 20th, and from there on out I can't make any promises. Really, though, the two Saturdays I wasn't free were the 20th and time when you scheduled the first meet. So...

AWWW YEAH - Bring projects - we'll have some fun with this stuff - I'll see how the grill is doing after this winter - hopefully be able to fire it up and do a little cooking - otherwise - there is always the "PIZZA DUDE" LOL
Quote, originally posted by JoeKat »Eric, please wait to put the speakers in on Saturday.I shall wait I'll probably need help anyways the components in the front look a little complicated.. What all tools will I need to bring?? I'll need to cut out the stock grills out of the door to install the Polk grills.. hope the weather isnt crappy it'll be a fun day
hmm - if you want to install the Polk Grills - I would almost suggest a Dremmel or something to that effect to cut out the stock grills - Unfortunately I do not have one of those - I have the Basics - Cordless drills, Sockets, wrenches, screw drivers , panel popers, kinda lite on the power tools though until I start the new job and can afford to RE-buy again. don't know how thick the material is - may be able to take a Razor blade to it, but not sure.

cool - I have files and stuff to smooth out the plastic once it is cut.By the Way - I'm almost always on AIM instant messenger - under:RobertBurkeySBSorRob24IT
This is completely off topic...but, burkeyro and meistees, did either one (or both) of you go to Miami? Just curious. Your usernames remind me of our unique IDs and are actually what yours would be if you did go here...LOL.Mine's not cool though...my name has too many consonants.

I've tried the school thing so many times I almost forgot which ones I went to - LOL - but no mine is my old user ID from when I was doing Helpdesk work for Morgan Stanley - I am THE "BURKEYRO" don't be fooled by imitations - LOL
For those of you that are coming over - here are the directions to my place:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxnow that map is from Westchester (north 75) - if you are coming from anywhere else - my address is included in the link so just re-do the map - I'm not too far from 275 and it's pretty easy to find - We'll probably do most of the parking in my front yard, cause, well.... yeah I just don't care - I'm going to see what shape the grill is in - so my suggestion is to NOT bring food but please bring drinks - we'll decide on the food later.
Yeah I just had to ask the username question there I had just been pronouncing them as words, then I started thinking that they were actually pieces of names...I wish mine looked cool though. So who all is going tomorrow?
Joe, Joel, Eric - Thanks for Coming out - Next time I'll be a bit more organized and we'll actually BB'Q or something - I loved all the looks we were getting with all the Vibes parked at the house Joel - thanks for brining Rob Dude Cracked me up - LOLone other thing - "BIG PIMPIN DOMINO'S DELEVERY" - LOL
It was a good time, had a blast, the weather was great! Was nice getting to meet new people (Joe and Eric) from GVC (as it always is at a meet).Look forward to doing that again!Speaker install went pretty smooth after I left... I assume? I'm sure it sounds a lot better now as well.Quote, originally posted by burkeyro »one other thing - "BIG PIMPIN DOMINO'S DELEVERY" - LOL That's what happens when you spend more on your wheels than you spend on your car. it was cool to meet you all as well and Joe cool to see you again glad my old wheels have a nice new home.. big thanks to Rob for letting us all park in his yard the speaker install went pretty smooth we only did the rear doors.. they sound pretty good but since I read on here somewhere 4ohm speakers make the stock amp only push half the power they're volume is a lot less than the front door.. I plan to just get a new 4 channel amp for under the seat.. and let us not forget! the awesome rusted out van that drove by with the jammin sound system
Rob, thanks for hosting!!! It was nice to meet you and Joel. The weather was perfect and Eric at least got the back speakers in. I'm glad we got together before the summer, I would love to do it again. Maybe I can host next time. Eric, once again thanks for the rims.

Unfortunately not this time around - My camera was down and well I guess we all just forgot - too busy talking and working on the speaker install - LOL "GOOD TIMES"we'll have to take some next time - hell - maybe inbetween the MI meet and the Ohio meet (July) We'll do another one - It will probably be an Evening one though, due to the fact that I don't want to FRY during the day - probably start around 4ish and run till whenever - or I'm sure I'll want to do another one for sure at my place in October after the wedding
I'm glad we didn't attempt the front doors that afternoon it has become a 2 day project ..and! 4ohm speakers on 2ohm stock amp suck!!! so alas here is my new amp + mess.. I hope it sounds good I ran out of speaker wire so some of the connections barely made it.. I had to epoxy the new tweeters to the stock mounts so tomorrow hopefully I put everything back together and it works
Pretty much anytime between now and then... I just have to hope it is on a Saturday that I have off work or on a Sunday afternoon (I'm always off then).
