'06 GT Injen Intake + Magnaflow Exhaust dyno numbers

Post by GormalVibe »

Ok folks, here is the tale of the tape. My '06 GT already had the Magnaflow installed on it when it went to the Dyno. The Baseline HP was 150.51 with Max Torque at 110.18After installation, HP was 162.93 with Max Torque at 120.23The intake was fabricated today at Injen R&D Department. They thanked me for the use of my car to build an intake to spec for all us to buy. It should be ready for purchase in about 2 weeks. Don't know the price yet. They (Injen) is also looking for a base model vibe so that they can build an intake for it.I took the car for a test drive tonight at the same place they run the Long Beach Grand Prix...... needless to say, I was impressed with the returns.

Those are some nice gains, TI! 12+ HP & 10+ TQ. You get to keep it for being the donor car?

I paid for it, so yeah.... I get to keep it. But I paid a "reduced" rate for the intake.

ok, so then it must be at the wheels. cause i know the 06 GT is rated more than 150 hp at the crank. so the base you went off of, that is with the exhaust only? or is it completely stock?

i just reread your first post. so base line, you were at 150 whp w/ the exhaust. that'll put you about 173 hp at the crank. not bad since i believe they are rated at 164 hp (you can correct me if i'm wrong about that). that would put the stock baseline somewhere around... (give or take a few obviously)... 143 whp. with the added CAI, you are looking at another 12 whp gain, so that'd put you right about (again, this is just approx) 187.4 hp. i bet if you added a unichip, you'd be close to 200 hp at the crank (174 whp)!

Call them and ask for it. If they say they don't have one, ask to talk to R&D
